A research poster on ‘improving local capacities for Tsunami early warning’ was presented at the 5th Global summit of GADRI. The research findings were based on an in-depth systematic and narrative review. The biennial Global Summit Series was initiated by the Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto University, Uji Campus, Kyoto Japan, in November 2011. The 5th Global Summit of GADRI was organised virtually in the summer of 2021 in the unprecedented COVID situation (https://gadri.net/summit/). The organisers of the global summit forwarded the summit’s outcomes and recommendations at the international conferences UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow, November 2021. They will also forward the outcomes and recommendations to the 7th Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Bali in May 2022.
