Professor Amaratunga contributes to Webinar on Natural hazards and Disaster Risk Reduction in the East Africa Rift: Challenges, Methods and Policies

Professor Dilanthi Amaratunga shared some insights from the project as part of her contribution to a webinar on Natural hazards and Disaster Risk Reduction in the East Africa Rift: Challenges, Methods and Policies. This first in a series of webinar, mapped the challenges associated with assessing multi-hazard risk, and discussed methods and policies which seek to lessen their impact. Professor Amaratunga spoke about ​Challenges and Approaches to Disaster Risk Reduction in the Global South. The event was jointly organised by the University of Bristol, the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences, and UKRI.
